The Rainham Road site is a residential development of 10 flats in London which has received planning and has to meet stringent London Plan zero Carbon targets.
Funded by a private investor looking for a quality but cost effective energy solution for the homes for long term rental; optimisation of a low carbon energy strategy at the lowest possible capital cost was a priority.
Mesh have delivered a strategic renewable technology feasibility study looking at building fabric efficiency and heat pump technology to reduce the need for unnecessary ‘bolt-on’ solar PV technology and additional cost.
The project is currently considering:
- Air source heating
- Solar PV installation
