Nore Down Way

Nore Down Way is a ground-breaking eco village proposal currently in the latter planning application phase and built to suit a community of 10 families utilising natural building techniques and renewable energy wherever possible.

Mesh have delivered a strategic renewable technology feasibility study looking at a wide range of communal and individual practical low carbon energy production solutions. Biomass and heat pump technologies with a bias towards local energy production and communal electricity storage also feature heavily in the proposal as well as access to significant government grants.

The project is currently considering:

  • Biomass community heating
  • Air source heating
  • Solar assisted heat pumps
  • Large scale solar PV installation
  • Battery storage
